ENGR110/210: Perspectives in Assistive Technology

Taught by David L. Jaffe, M.S., this course explores the design, development, and use of technology that benefits people with disabilities and older adults.

  • Semi-weekly lectures, presented by notable professionals, clinicians, and individuals with disabilities, are open to the Stanford community and anyone interested in attending. Please refer to the lecture schedule for guest speaker information and topics.

Disability & Caregiving Club at Stanford GSB

The aim of the Disability & Caregiving Community is to cultivate a disability-oriented community at the GSB that is inclusive, accessible, and well-informed. Membership is confidential and open to students with disabilities, caregivers and allies.The Club's vision includes the following three objectives:

  • Create a community where students with disabilities, caregivers and allies can connect, express themselves, and feel a sense of belonging
  • Organize events and workshops to raise awareness about disability and caregiving related issues, promote understanding, and advocate for inclusion
  • Collaborate with GSB community (administration, student association) to identify and address accessibility issues.

SMADIE is a subcommittee of the Diversity Cabinet dedicated to advancing disability equity, accessibility, and inclusion at Stanford through educating others about ways to make healthcare more accessible, accelerating research in the field, making sure health equity initiatives are in place for people with disabilities, implementing a mentorship to help support healthcare workers, advancing disability inclusion through community building, and serving as advocates for long-term solutions to disability-inclusive structures.
